Woooooah, what an exciting first round! Some hawt battles (somtimes I had to go grab my water bottle!) 
. No matter how hot the battles are, there can only be one winner. Before I go on about Round TWO, I’d let to give a big shout out to EVERYONE who participated in this tournament, from the C-Walkers to the Judges, everyone, THANK YOU <3!
Round ONE was a success, with some *cough* mistakes made by me *cough* 
. Haha, yes, I have to apologize one more time to Cry and Dirty Steps Crew for that mistake. It was just a careless error made by me and only me, no one else to blame, not Revolutionary 13th or Ksnipez, but ME! (Toe) 
. But thank you guys for understanding and allowing this tournament to run smoothly again.

Global Crew Tournament – The EIGHT FINALISTS!

Wow!! What an amazing response to our Global Crew Tournament. I know you are all eager to see who the eight crews are, so I’ll get straight to the point!
With a total number of 25 crew application, choosing the best 8 was quite a difficult task. However, we, the CwalkMedia.com staff have finalized the list and in our eyes are the best 8 out of the 25 crews that applied.
Before the top eight is announced, I would just like to thank ALL the crews that applied, and even if you weren’t picked, don’t be discouraged, keep training and you’ll get better

You guys will be here incase a crew does not upload a video within the given deadline and instead of disqualifying them, a reserve crew will come in the tournament and replace that crew.

This is listed in priorty, so currently Pimp Steppin’ Army will be asked first if a crew drops out, if they decline or are unable to participate we will go to the next “reserve” crew.
Now, if your crew isn’t in the 8 or the reserve list, please don’t rage at us. We did our best to choose what we think is the best eight.

CwalkMedia.com Presents: GLOBAL CREW TOURNAMENT

CwalkMedia.com is back and we’re kicking things off with the world’s first ever GLOBAL CREW TOURNAMENT! This tournament will identify the best C-Walk crew in the world. Does YOUR crew have what it takes?
Read below for registration details and rules.
How it works:
- We will only be accepting 8 crews, which means if we get more than 8 crew entries, we will only pick the best 8.
- This can be ANY crew, real life or internet.
- Each crew can only enter 3 members each round, as the battles will be 3 vs 3. Crown, Crip, Clown, all styles are acceptable. Each round you can use 3 different members if you wish.
- 5 judges will judge each battle.
- There is a prize for the winner, but that will be kept secret, we guarantee you it’s a good prize!
- Registration closes on the 30th May 2010, tournament starts on June 3rd!
Rules:
- Each battle video will only be 45 seconds, rather than 1 minute. This will hopefully make the battles more exciting.
- A Cwalker can only represent ONE crew.
- Has to be a REAL crew, cannot make up a crew just for this tournament.
- Video needs to be 3/4 – full body view, not legs only.
- Each crew needs to submit their videos before the deadline or they will suffer a forfeit loss for that battle.
- Due dates will usually be 1-2 weeks, more than enough time to record a video.

Guru – Rest in Peace
On April 19, 2010, only a few days ago, the Hip Hop music industry took another devastating blow. Only after a couple of months after Nujabes death, Guru also known as Jazzmatazz, a member of the hip-hop duo Gang Starr, along with DJ Premier has also left us.
His stage name, Guru is an acronym for Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal.
Back in February 28, 2010, he had gone into cardiac arrest. Following his surgery, he fell into a coma. He eventually woke from the coma but died after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma.

First post I’d like to do after the come back of cwalk media is dedicated to the recent death of Nujabes. Only through him so many fans managed to find this inspiring style of music. He made a massive breakthrough for all artists of the style who were to follow him. He opened some doors for all of them and gave that style a different perspective.
I doubt there are people on this site who haven’t heard of his death so I just want to share the tribute video for him. Rest In Peace, Nujabes!

Who will remain the champion?
We’ve gathered the best cwalkers of PimpMyWalk.com to battle each other until we find the ultimate cwalker! It’s time for the Exclusives to show us all what we’ve been missing out on.
Each round will have a certain area to focus on such as beatride, flow, etc. This specific area will be watched and criticized more closely. Each chosen challenge for that allocated round will be selected at random, as well as the matchups. The last round, the finale, will be a free-for-all, no challenge, one versus one showdown. Prizes will be given to the winner, but that prize is not disclosed to the public.
As a twist, we need you! Voting will be open at large. Ten member votes and two staff votes will determine who will become the Best of the Best. To vote, you must fill out the voting guidelines that we will give you very specifically. If it is not done properly, your vote will not count.
This is for your fun. Like any tourney, we know you all love to guess who will remain victorious. Bet who you think will win and win a prize! This betting session will only be available in the 3 first days prior to the release of the tournament. You must base your bet on the newly released Exclusive mixtape/Intro to the tourney. If you plan on betting, you are NOT allowed to vote during the tournament. So choose carefully!

TheCwalk.com Presents: Best Dance Crew
TheCWalk.com is traditionally known for it’s commitment to privacy and rules that virtually isolate them from the goings-on of the c-walking community as a whole, but it is my pleasure and great pride to announce that TCW is blowing the doors wide open with a tournament that could redefine c-walking standards.
TCW’s finest SA members will be competing in 4-man crews for the title of TCW’s Best Crew. They will be challenged in ways that will stretch their creativity to it’s limits, promising never-before-seen moves and absolute entertainment. Not only will the SA members be unlocking new areas to explore in the world of c-walking, but TCW will be unlocking the floodgates and releasing this tournament to the public, broadcasting the rounds via YouTube and allowing anyone to view them. To take it one step further, anyone, not just Special Access, will be able to vote in every round, a first for TCW and the first tournament of it’s kind.
The first videos will go up February 1st, and the first round challenge is for the crews to select a movie of their choice, and model their final video after that movie in any way they choose as they introduce themselves to you.
So far the crews have selected themes ranging from James Bond to the Boondock Saints, from the Karate Kid to taking it to the streets in Step Up, even going so far as the Dark Knight, with the possibilities proving endless.
It’s going to be the must-see event of the community, and I’d hate for you to miss it. So, come to TheCWalk.com, and let us entertain you.

Upcoming London Meetup, 16th February!
Another meetup has been planned and scheduled at London Trafalgar Square on the Tuesday 16th Feburary, 2010.
An opportunity to meet other fellow cwalkers across the UK if you havent yet already done so!
There has been confirmation that 100 people will be attending on that day, 120+ are on a “maybe”

CwalkMedia.com – The Revival
“Cwalk Media is closing?! Noooooo!” This was the response of many when they first heard that this site was closing. After several discussions, the team here has decided to re-open it. The amount of support and loyalty you guys showed us made the decision to terminate this site extremely hard, so here we are, beginning the new year, with a new team! Things will still be the same, however the Cwalk Media staff has changed:

With this newly assembled team, we hope to continue to feed you guys with the most recent and interesting articles and interviews. Some of the goals we have in mind are:

However, let’s not forget about the “Old Generation” staff members, such as, dS(owner/creator), Dias, Shezzo Fly, inCide, Mr. T, C-Mac, Gagong Pinoy, Spook, Azzyh and many others who have helped this website (d3r, Maikeru etc.). These people will be the “fillers” and occasionally help this website from time to time, but most of the work load will be done by the five people listed above. This new team was hand picked and I have made it so that each member is part of a different community so that we have links to a lot more communities and therefore, can broaden our viewers to all over the world. On behalf of the Cwalk Media team, we’d like to say thank you so much for showing your support and bearing with us through this re-organization and hope that we, the new team, can continue entertaining you guys, just like before. A lot more interviews and events are coming up, so stay tuned!

Darren Chhuon – The Anniversary
I am sure that 99% of you guys know Darren Chhuon, better known by his Cwalking name, Dazaa. For those who don’t know him, he was a great and brave person, who sacrificed his own life to save two of his friends from drowning. Although I didn’t even start Cwalking back when the tragedy occurred, January 14th 2009, I saw the amount of dedications, messages, respect and love that everyone showed him and instantly I knew he must have been a friendly and enjoyable person, and I was correct.
Today, January 14th 2010, we commemorate his unforgettable bravery and heroism. This day marks the one year anniversary of his passing and we, the Cwalk Media team, and everyone else wishes that your having fun up there in paradise and I’m sure that your looking over us with a big smile.

End of one era, beginning of another.

Hello friends.
We at cwalkmedia, have been discussed the current situation, and have reached a conclusion. We are gonna close the CwalkMedia project. We have been running since early 2008 and have done what we were here for. We have realized that the site from now on only will have downfalls and bad situations. We think we have dedicated a lot and enough to the cwalk world, the whole team all needs to move on a take care of our personal life.
We are going to close the site soon, we will be finishing the Scandinavia vs Bulgaria battle and that’s it. We are sorry for all those sites that are waiting for a battle, but we simply cant keep promising things.
If you want to save any article, interview or video you can rip them the next couple of days.
We want to thank the CwalkMedia team for have made this whole project possible:
